Norman E Smith

Norm has been a Hatboro resident since 1989. He is married with two grown daughters and several grandchildren. During his children's education in the Hatboro-Horsham School District,

Norm was a member of the Home & School Associations and involved in the H-H School District’s Steering Committee for the construction of the high school. Along with the help from other parents he created the National Blue Ribbon Crooked Billet Elementary School’s Christmas parade float “Little Red School House” and the following year’s float “Candyland’s Ginger House”.

 

In 2009, he retired as a member of the NJ and PA UBCs, Carpenter/Cabinetmaker Unions. During his time with the NJ UBC, Norm was active in the Union PACs and contract negotiations.

He then went into business for himself in fine woodworking and restorations of yachts in the Annapolis and Chesapeake Bay areas.

 

An American Revolutionary War history buff, he’s a former member of the 5th PA Regiment living history reenactors, enjoys fishing, and along with his wife, making their yard into a natural wildlife habitat. Norm stays active in environmental and political causes and has been a poll worker since 2023.

 

It is Norm’s goal to uphold voter democracy by ensuring that elections are fair, accessible to all, and safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process.
